Become a Duck
At the University of Oregon, one size doesn’t fit all. The UO is a community committed to a diverse academic experience. No two applicants for admission hail from precisely the same circumstances or background, and the admissions process reflects that fact. The UO welcomes alternative admission students as well as any others who find they may have to check the "other" box now and then.
Find Your Path
With hundreds of academic programs, the UO has what you need to find your launch pad. Explore all our majors, minors, certificates, and preparatory programs including health professions like nursing and dentistry. Whether you’re ready to declare a major now or you’re not sure where to start, our academic advisors can help you delve into a passion, explore a new interest, and find your path at the UO and beyond while staying on track to graduate. With career services and portfolio-building opportunities under the same roof, you’ll find everything you need to join other recent alums who have jump started their careers.
The UO campus is buzzing with activity and energy. With more than 300 student organizations, you’ll have room to explore your interests with other Ducks from across the US and the world. And we offer plenty of housing options, including staying connected on campus in a residence hall, living in a university-sponsored apartment, or even allowing our staff to help you find the perfect off-campus home.
Cost and Scholarships
A college degree is a big investment, but finances don’t have to be a barrier to becoming a Duck. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is here to help you navigate your options. Our team offers guidance to students on federal aid, scholarships, loans, and even general financial literacy and budgeting guidance through the Financial Wellness Center.
