Tips for college success: For every student, the college search process may be an overwhelming, yet exciting, time. Identify the characteristics that define YOU as a person. Think of your personal identities, academic interests, career aspirations and extra-curricular hobbies. Use these aspects as the guiding tool to find an institution that supports all aspects of your college experience, including your personal development. Choose an place that values your presence and empowers students to engage within their own communities on campus.
My favorite UO fun fact: The University of Oregon campus is home to more than 4,000 trees of over 500 species, classifying our campus as an official arboretum. Check out a map of our campus trees here!
Favorite Campus Spot: I absolutely adore the little nature nook on campus, nestled right next to the first building on the UO campus, University Hall. It’s such a peaceful spot to hang out with friends, read a book or lounge in the warm sunshine. Plus it reminds me of my hometown full of lush, green trees!
Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: Growing up, I always loved building and fixing projects in my dad’s workshop. I would consider myself a nifty and curious person that enjoys solving problems. My special skill would be building and repurposing furniture.
If you didn’t work in UO Admissions: If I wasn’t working in admissions, I would be working for a PR agency or non-profit organization!
