– Deadlines Extended –

Due to the delay in FAFSA data being supplied to the University of Oregon, the UO is extending the confirmation deadline to June 1, 2024, for first-year students admitted for fall 2024. We are also extending the priority FAFSA filing deadline to April 1, 2024, for all UO students.

Ghana

All transcripts must be sent directly from the school, university, college, or testing authority. Transcripts sent by students will not be accepted as official.

The University of Oregon uses a holistic review process when making our admissions decisions. Though academic performance is important, we also consider strength of curriculum, English proficiency, grade trend, and other factors.

Freshman admission

For admission consideration, students from the Ghanian education system who have completed the Senior Secondary Certificate Exam (SSCE) must have a minimum average of 'C' or Good. Applicants who have completed the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Exam (WASSCE) must have a minimum average of 'B3' or Good.
