– Deadlines Extended –

Due to the delay in FAFSA data being supplied to the University of Oregon, the UO is extending the confirmation deadline to June 1, 2024, for first-year students admitted for fall 2024. We are also extending the priority FAFSA filing deadline to April 1, 2024, for all UO students.

What is your best advice for high school students looking to attend college: Don’t be afraid to reach out and learn more about schools you are interested in. Ask current students about their own experiences, reach out to academic advisors, and visit campus if possible. Learning about what each university has to offer can help you determine which school is the right fit for you.

Do you have a favorite UO “fun fact”: The University of Oregon is the only university to have a Disney character (Donald Duck) as a mascot!

What is your favorite place to hang out on the UO campus or in Eugene, and why: I love running on Pre’s Trail over by Autzen Stadium, especially in the summer and fall. The area is beautiful and is a great place for me to clear my mind. It is a nice little escape from the hustle and bustle of Eugene and is just across the river from campus

Do you have any special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: My secret talent is that I can name all 50 states in alphabetical order in less than 20 seconds. I learned this in second grade, and it has been my party trick ever since.

If you didn’t work in admissions, what would you be doing instead: If I didn’t work in admissions at the University of Oregon, I would probably be working at an advertising agency as a strategist or account manager.
