– Deadlines Extended –

Due to the delay in FAFSA data being supplied to the University of Oregon, the UO is extending the confirmation deadline to June 1, 2024, for first-year students admitted for fall 2024. We are also extending the priority FAFSA filing deadline to April 1, 2024, for all UO students.

What is your best advice for high school students looking to attend college: Visit campus! Visiting campus is a great way to really get a feel for the University and see if you can picture yourself there for the next four years.

Do you have a particular favorite UO “fun fact”?: Newly renovated Hayward Field is one of the most famous track and field-only facilities in the world! We have hosted the United States Track and Field Olympic Trials seven times, four of which have been consecutive (08, 12, 16, 21).

What’s your favorite place to hang out on the UO campus or in Eugene, and why?: My favorite place to hang out on the UO campus is the Fishbowl in Erb Memorial Union. I love the atmosphere because it can either be a place to socialize or a place to put headphones in and get work done. Plus, there are some great food options!

Do you have any special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies?: When I am not working you can without a doubt find me hiking in the Rocky Mountains, reading, or playing with our Goldendoodle puppy!

If you didn't work in admissions what would you be doing instead?: My dream job is to be in the FBI or CIA even though I know it would not be nearly as exciting as they portray in the movies.

Since you are a regional counselor, do you have a tip for folks from your region?: Connect with me! I would love to chat with you and answer any questions you have about the University of Oregon or even just the state in general. As a native Oregonian I am very familiar with all of the fun things the state has to offer.
