Hometown: Eugene, Oregon
Alma mater: University of Oregon, ’05—Journalism, emphasis in magazine, Minor in English Literature
Family members who attended the UO: My husband Nathan graduated in '06 with a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship. My sister Tiffany graduated in '04 with a B.A. in Spanish and B.S. in Business Administration. We're a family of Ducks, to say the least.
Where you're most likely to be found hanging out on campus: Memorial quad the first warm day of spring. You can catch a quick nap in the grass between classes and after a long winter of Oregon rain the sun feels amazing.
Favorite thing to do in Eugene: Ride my road bike. I love the quiet rolling hills of south Eugene and when big track events are happening in town, it's not uncommon to cycle past several Olympic-caliber runners on the bike path.
Why you decided to work at the UO: I get to be a Duck every day! I loved attending the UO as a student, and I can't think of anything better to do every day than to help students become Ducks as well.
Favorite Eugene restaurant: I can't pick just one, but some favorites include Marché Provisions, Beppe and Gianni's Trattoria, Burrito Boy Taqueria, Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine, and Toshi's Ramen.
Favorite UO fun fact: You can have your wedding on campus. I did!
Favorite Duck: Dennis Dixon. Who else keeps playing football with a torn ACL like it was a scratch? He's tough as nails!
Most memorable college class: My most memorable class was actually one I took every year: Marching Band. I loved being in color guard and performing in Autzen Stadium for home games. My husband and I actually met in the program and to this day most of my close friends are fellow band geeks.
