Why did you decide to work at the UO: When I first moved here, I walked around campus and couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. It felt like a private Ivy League school. Plus, there are ducks everywhere. Real ducks, not students, and they’ll actually sleep on the lawn while everyone walks by. Very cool!
Where you’re most likely to be found hanging out on campus: The Holy Cow (great vegetarian cuisine) at the Erb Memorial Union
Favorite thing to do in Eugene: Hike Mt. Pisgah, sample great local produce at the Saturday Market, walk along the McKenzie River, hang out at the “dog park”
Best part of your job: When I get to say four magic words to a student, "Congratulations, you’ve been admitted!"
Favorite Eugene restaurant: There are so many… Poppi’s Anatolia (when I actually have a little money) … Laughing Planet when I have $5 or less and want healthy, veggie-friendly food
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you bring: My dogs…. and I wouldn’t eat them, no matter how hungry I got
Quote you live by: Do as little harm as possible
If I didn’t work in Admissions I’d be: Working for the Cheetah Conservation Fund. We do have students who intern at the Center in Africa, so maybe I don’t need to leave UO after all
