Why you decided to work at the UO:  I like the city of Eugene, I sort of grew up here, and I know that there is a strong emphasis on Native American student support that I wished to contribute to
Best part of your job:  I get to socialize
Tips for college success:  Stay pro-active! Don't be afraid to ask for help
Do you have any family members who attended the UO?  My mother
Favorite thing to do in Eugene:  Talk to people. I am a pretty reserved guy, but if I meet someone who has a lot of experiences that I haven't had, I tend to gravitate towards them and ask a lot of questions. Eugene is a good place to meet people from different backgrounds!
Favorite Eugene restaurant:  For breakfast, it would have to be the Original Pancake House. If you happen to stop by, I definitely recommend their 49-er Flapjacks, or their Original Joe's Scramble. Best breakfast in town! I also like to eat at The Mission—their enchiladas are fantastic!
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you
bring:  A plane, an airstrip, fuel to get me back to land

If I didn't work in Admissions I'd be:  Fighting fires and racing cars. I have several years of wildland firefighting experience, and I miss that lifestyle very much. I was very big into cars at one point in my life, and have done everything from drag to drift, rallycross, autocross, gymkhana, and kart racing
