Admissions
  • Any time: Visit the University of Oregon. Tours are offered daily, Monday through Saturday. Call the Office of Admissions for more information: (541) 346-3201 or (800) BE-A-DUCK.
University Housing
  • After applying to the UO: You can apply for university housing once you receive the Explore our Communities brochure, which includes the housing application. You may also apply online at any time. Return the application with a $30 nonrefundable application fee.
Admissions
  • After admission: After receiving your letter of admission, you will receive an Intent to Register Form. Complete the form and return it with your $200 advance tuition deposit (ATD). Included in your ATD confirmation packet are forms to complete, including business office information and a health history form.
Before January

Student Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Pick up the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at your high school guidance office or college financial aid office. Attend a financial aid workshop in your community for assistance with filling it out. Work on scholarship applications.
January & february

  • Submit the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or mail the completed FAFSA to the federal processors after January 1, but before February 1, to meet the UO priority deadline of March 1.

  • March 15: Transfer student priority deadline for the UO application for admission

  • March 1: Transfer student priority deadline for financial aid
  • Late March: University scholarship recipients will be notified.
University Housing
  • March 31: Priority deadline for residence hall applications. Applicants who apply prior to this date are guaranteed a space in the residence halls, provided all other subsequent documents are received.
April

  • Residence hall contracts and a request for $250 prepayment will be sent to students whose applications were submitted by March 31.
Student Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Mid-April: The Notification of Financial Aid Eligibilty will be mailed to students who applied by February 1. You must accept your award within 45 days.
May

  • May 15 : Transfer student deadline for the UO application for admission
University Housing
  • May 15: Deadline to return your housing contract and $250 prepayment and reserve your space for the year, if you applied to the residence halls on or before March 31.
Academic Advising and First-Year Programs
  • Transfer student advising and registration for fall term are held in May. This your first chance to register for a Transfer Seminar.
June

  • Freshmen must send an official final high school transcript to the Office of Admissions indicating graduation date.

  • June-September: Subsequent contracts will be sent to students whose applications were received after March 31 as space becomes available.
