Give Peace (Studies) a Chance

The study of peace is an emerging field that tries to solve such important questions as: How do we make the world a better place for ourselves and our children? Is war necessary? Is there a genetic basis for violence? The program encourages students to approach the issue from a variety of perspectives. The focus of this interdisciplinary program is on the conditions that cause violence and how to prevent them, alternatives to violence and how to promote them, and the strategies for achieving peace.
