Online Application Instructions

You may start filling out the application at any time and come back later to complete it. If you need to exit your application before you are ready to submit it, make sure you save any information you entered by clicking the "continue" or "checklist" button before you exit the application. Be sure to write down the login ID and password for later login. If you have provided an e-mail address on your application and your application is incomplete, you will receive an email within 24 hours that includes your login ID.

The following items are needed to complete the online UO application:

All Freshmen and Transfer Applicants

  1. $50 nonrefundable application fee. Payment options are:
  2. Special circumstances statement (optional). Explain any circumstances that may have affected your academic performance, for example, serious illness, diagnosed disability, or family circumstances.
  3. Colleges attended. Provide the name and location of all colleges in which you are currently enrolled or have previously attended, including attendance dates and credit hours earned.

Freshmen Applicants Only

  1. College preparatory courses. Use your transcripts or report cards to complete the College Preparatory Courses section. Designate each course you have taken or plan to take including those taken during your senior year as regular, honors, AP/ IB, or college credit.
  2. Essay. Address the following topic in your essay: Tell us about something that you have done on your own in the last two years that makes you feel good about yourself. Compose your essay ahead of time using wordprocessing software, then copy and paste it into the essay screen.  The application times out after 20 minutes.
  3. Test scores. If you have not taken the SAT or ACT tests, you can leave the test scores section blank. If you leave the test score section blank, please use the special circumstances section to tell us when you plan to take the tests.
  4. High school attended. Enter the name and location of the high school you are currently attending or from which you graduated. You will also be asked for your graduation date.
