The UO at Fiesta Mexicana
We're excited to announce that, for the third time, the University of Oregon is a major sponsor of Fiesta Mexicana in Legion Park in Woodburn on August 2–4, 2013. This year the UO is sole sponsor of the 50th Fiesta Mexicana Family Stage. Join us at our booth, and come walk with the Duck in the Saturday parade!
Walk with the Duck
We invite you to walk with the UO Duck in the Fiesta Mexicana parade scheduled for noon–1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 in Woodburn. Come celebrate the UO and the Latino community with prospective Ducks and current UO students as we follow the Duck and the fiesta’s royal court on the one-mile parade route through Woodburn. You’ll even receive a special UO t-shirt to wear in the parade.
To participate, RSVP online by Wednesday, July 31, as space is limited. Print and sign a copy of the waiver and medical emergency permission form, and bring it with you on August 3. The parade begins at the Woodburn Aquatic Center located at 190 Oak Street and will culminate at Legion Park in Woodburn. Plan to arrive by 11:00 a.m. at the aquatic center’s parking lot and look for university staff and students in green Oregon Duck shirts.
